PrevostI purchased this for exercising at work during lunch, in Washington where it rains pretty much daily. It is light, nicely constructed, fits well, and seems to breathe and be waterproof as advertised. The hood is well made with an internal adjustment. Overall really nice, inexpensive, light wight, jacket.

SpringbokSeems to shed an awful lot. I'm a month in and still picking multiple feathers off every time I wear it. The size is fine - I'm an XL with long arms and normally the arms would be too short, but these aren't. I like everything about it but the shedding. It's a very lightweight jacket, but warm. We are in the midst of a run of single digit temps so I'm layering with a heavy sweatshirt, but for temps in the 20's and above, I've been comfortable with just this jacket, but it's light enough that when I come inside to warm up, I don't get overheated quickly. Good comfort range.

AMZPlayer1The condition of this coat is pretty bad, there are so many scratches on the surface of the coat. The size is a little too big but I think it's okay, the coat is really warm. However there are too many surface damaged that I really can't recommend this product if the quality is like this.

AlexI didn't check the size chart - I'm a regular Medium pretty much everywhere so I just ordered that. I'm 5'10", 155 lbs and it was huge on me. I returned it and got the Small and it fit much better, though the sleeves are still longer than I'm used to. Can't hurt in the rain, though. The jacket itself seems well constructed though I can imagine the mesh pockets wearing out or ripping pretty quickly. There's a cool feature where the jacket can be rolled up and shoved inside-out into one of the pockets and zipped up (like some reusable shopping bags) if you're trying to save space in a day pack, which I'll definitely appreciate down the line. All told it seems like a solid jacket for a good price. It's not thick btw - just a shell to keep the rain off.

LeelaI've been so impressed by Columbia's activewear, especially anything built for a wet environment. I took this jacket to Costa Rica recently. I wanted a lightweight, thin jacket for a warm, rainforest environment that wouldn't take up too much space in my suitcase. This jacket hit all of my marks.
It's very lightweight and rolls up well, perfectly fitting in my daypack. This was perfect for the Costa Rican rainy season since it can go from bright and shiny to rainy very quickly and I wanted something to carry around with me all day without being inconvenient. This would work well for a summer where I live as well (South Carolina), since we can get afternoon thunder storms very quickly. The jacket will also keep you surprisingly warm too, so I would consider using this in the fall or winter too as a quick rain jacket over my clothes. It has a rain hood that can be pulled out and restowed very easily.
